In November 2020, APPRO conducted research in Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar to examine factors that support and/or undermine the use of public health services with a focus on the process of allocation and spending of COVID-1 funds. The research finds that dysfunctional COVID-19 testing mechanism, inefficient treatment in COVID-19 health centers and insufficient health personnel have negatively affected the public’s trust in the limited services provided by the COVID-19 health centers.
