During April 21-26, APPRO and Ruhr University Bochum delivered a cross-certified course on Project/Program Cycle Management at Center for Good Governance, Gender Analysis, Applied Social Research, Public Administration, and Development (GRAD) in Kabul.
The course was a partnership between APPRO and the Institute of International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) of Ruhr University Bochum, and part of the training component of the NAP 1325 Monitor, a project on the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace, and security, funded by the Swedish International Cooperation Development Agency (Sida) and implemented by Afghanistan Public Policy Research Organization (APPRO) in Afghanistan. The course was delivered by Prof. dr. Dennis Dijkzeul, IFHV, Ruhr University Bochum
The course was designed to simultaneously engage civil society actors and government authorities on how best to develop programs and projects to address fundamental humanitarian and development challenges such as fundamental rights, access to basic services, and gender equality. Thirty three individuals from Afghan civil society, government institutions and international NGOs participated in the course.
A date will be announced for the formal graduation ceremony at GRAD.
